Recommended to cook an extra 5 minutes for darker, crunchier bars.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together flour, sugar, butter, and salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press firmly into an evenly greased 15X10X1 baking pan. Backe at 350*F for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, in another bowl, combine eggs, syrup, sugar, butter, and vanilla. Stir in pecans. Spread evenly over hot crust, and bake fo 25 minutes at 350*F, or until set. Cool on wire rack.
